GALVANOVA
The Galvanova company was founded in 1978 by Aurelio Masi in Via di Scandicci, Florence, in premises of 180 sq. metres.
It was later taken over by his daughter Alessandra and son-in-law, Massimo Astolfi, who then began to enlarge the company. The expansion led to a move in 2011 to a building of 500 sq. metres in Via de’ Cattani, Florence.
In 2018, as company expansion was no longer possible, growth continued after moving to the current premises in Via delle Cantine, Calenzano, a warehouse of over 4,000 sq. metres that allows for all types of development and expansion.

LABORATORY
The quality of the work is guaranteed by constant X-ray measurements using specialized instruments (Oxford, Bowman) to verify the thickness of the coating deposited during the galvanizing phase. The process is supplemented by a XRT colorimeter with which we are able to monitor the slightest colour defects.

POLISHING
This operation is where accessories are cleaned and polished in preparation for the galvanic plating process.
The process is carried out both for external sub-contractors (polishing only) and for the complete production cycle (polishing and galvanizing) to maximize time and quality.
The department uses a CNC machine for object placement and then proceeds with the specific cleaning method using an automatic snap polishing machine, a rotary table polishing machine or manually operated machines.
The cycle ends with the washing process, using a state-of-the-art modified alcohol washing machine.
